The world’s first English-language Sikh superhero feature film is coming to the big screen.

The Ninth Master: Way of a Warrior will premiere in Slough on Saturday, February 21, from 4pm to 6.30pm.

Written, directed, produced by and starring Flex Singh, the film blends action, martial arts and philosophy, drawing on ancient Sikh warrior principles and values such as Seva (selfless service) and Chardi Kala (resilience and optimism).

It explores themes of discipline, identity, and inner mastery through a culturally rooted but universally relatable story.

Flex Singh said: "Growing up, I rarely saw people who looked like us in cinema.

"This film was made to change that. I wanted the community to be part of the journey, not just the audience."

The decision to launch the world premiere in Slough holds special significance for the filmmaker.

The film features pupils and teachers from Khalsa Primary School in Slough, reflecting the director’s commitment to authentic representation and community involvement.

Flex Singh said he wanted The Ninth Master to reflect real people and real voices while remaining cinematic in scale.

The film will debut in Slough before moving on to Birmingham on March 12

International interest has already been strong, with fans requesting showings in Canada, the United States, India, Denmark and other countries.

For the Slough premiere, standard and VIP tickets are sold out.

The Birmingham screening will follow on Thursday, March 12, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, and Romford in East London on Saturday, March 21, from 6pm to 8pm.

VIP attendees at both events will receive a complimentary Way of a Warrior T-shirt and guaranteed access with the cast and director.

The Ninth Master aims to break new ground in British independent cinema and on-screen representation, introducing a fresh and culturally significant hero to audiences.

With its creative blend of action, philosophy and cultural depth, The Ninth Master seeks not only to entertain but to inspire a new generation and broaden the definition of what a superhero can be.
