A proposed extension to create nine new consulting rooms, a waiting room and offices has been permitted by Slough Borough Council.
The car park will also be reconfigured to provide two additional spaces.
The plans state: "The existing facilities on site cater for a list size of 23,500 patients and although there is no planned increase to the patient list size, the Health Centre is struggling to provide the primary care face to face meetings with admin facilities stretched and storage in clinical rooms.
"In order to achieve the required number of face to face appointments and as set out by the Health Secretary the Rt Hon Wes Streeting – Capital funding has been granted and the ICB has agreed in principal a level of funding to assist with partial funding to improve the existing Health Centre facilities."
There would be potential for three additional full time staff with the increased space.
There are currently 85 staff members at the health centre.
A planning officer stated: "The application site has had an established medical use for many years, and the Council encourages the provision and enhancement of essential services in sustainable location close to residential populations such as this."
