The first Sikh superhero film in English has premiered to a sold-out audience at its red-carpet world premiere in Slough.

The Ninth Master: Way of a Warrior was watched by residents, pupils and families connected to local schools, including Khalsa Primary School.

One pupil said: “I’m so proud that we finally have our own Sikh superhero.”

Its creators stated that many children were visibly emotional, seeing a Sikh superhero represented on the big screen for the first time.

They were proud to say that the premiere reflected Slough’s diversity, with attendees from many cultural and faith backgrounds sharing the experience together.

As actor, director and producer, Flex Singh delivered his closing remarks to applause after the film.

Flex Singh said: “I have watched this film over a thousand times during its creation.

"But watching it with a live audience and seeing their reaction brought tears of joy to my eyes, which is rare because I haven’t shed a tear in years.”
