The five individuals have been released on bail while the force’s probe continues.

“We understand the concern this has caused in the community and want to reassure you that five individuals have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

“They have been released on bail while our investigation continues.”

Assault occasioning actual bodily harm in the Offences against the Person Act 1861 (section 47) can see a maximum sentence of up to five years in custody.
