A new immersive entertainment centre is opening in Slough later this month.

Mega City will officially open its doors to the public on Saturday, May 30.

The 55,000 sq ft venue is located at 233/249 High Street and promises visitors a full day of entertainment, with more than 170 games and activities spread across three floors and two mezzanines.

Jeet, co-founder of Mega City, said: "At its heart, Mega City is about bringing people together.

"We wanted to create a place where different generations can enjoy shared experiences, feel welcome and make real memories."

Designed for all ages and groups, the centre will appeal to families, friends, couples, and corporate outings alike.

Guests will find a huge arcade featuring 130 machines, 10 AMF bowling lanes, a 26-player laser tag arena, batting cages, AR clay pigeon shooting, VR arenas, karaoke rooms, and private party spaces.

Other attractions include AR darts, laser mazes, and pool tables.

The centre aims to offer something for everyone, from competitive bowling and energetic laser tag to karaoke parties and post-work gaming sessions.

Mega City is the latest venture from the family behind Airport Bowl and represents an £11 million investment in Slough’s leisure sector.

It is expected to create more than 80 new jobs in the area, boost high street footfall, and support long-term community partnerships with schools and colleges through work experience and career pathways.

The venue is fully cashless, using a Sacoa Play Card system for arcade and laser mazes, and QR codes for booking and activating experiences such as bowling and VR sessions.

The interior features neon signage, statement lighting, and a dramatic central atrium, offering a playful and futuristic atmosphere.

The food menu focuses on comfort favourites, including butter chicken burgers, loaded fries, classic hot dogs, and a range of desserts from churros to waffle tacos.

Vegetarian, vegan, and child-friendly options are also available.

At the bar, visitors can enjoy a selection of cocktails, craft beers, alcohol-free options, and hot drinks.

The entertainment centre is just an eight-minute walk from the Elizabeth line and includes accessible on-site parking.

It will be open from 10am to 1.30am Sunday to Thursday and from 10am to 2.30am on Fridays and Saturdays.

With its wide range of attractions, convenient location, and community-focused approach, Mega City aims to become a landmark leisure destination not only for Slough, but for the wider region.
