The Duchess of Edinburgh attended the Royal Windsor Flower Show.
Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh attended the Royal Windsor Flower Show this weekend, joining visitors at one of the county’s largest annual horticultural events.
Held in the grounds of Windsor Great Park, the show celebrates gardening, sustainability and community, with this year’s theme, Rooted in Nature, reflected across its displays and activities.
A central highlight of the event was the Plants With Purpose Garden, which the Duchess officially opened during her visit.
The garden was co-designed by the Duchess alongside designer Alan Williams, and focuses on the importance of soil health, food production and encouraging people to grow plants with purpose.

The show featured a wide range of attractions, including show gardens, floral displays and talks from well-known experts such as Alan Titchmarsh.
Visitors were also able to explore craft tents, plant nurseries and live demonstrations celebrating traditional skills and sustainable practices.
Organised by the Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society, the event raises funds to support educational projects in gardening and nature.
Organisers said the Duchess’s involvement had brought added attention to the importance of environmental awareness and hands-on learning.
