A family adventure film celebrating global warrior traditions is set to return to Slough this weekend following a successful premiere earlier this year.
The Ninth Master: Way of a Warrior will be screened on Saturday, June 27, with only a limited number of tickets remaining, organisers say.

Created by British filmmaker Flex Singh, the story follows a London kitchen porter who discovers he is the heir to an ancient warrior legacy, inspired by figures such as Vikings, Spartans and Samurai. For the first time in the tale, a Sikh warrior is chosen as the next “Master”.

The film has strong links to Slough, with pupils from Khalsa Primary School and Pioneer Secondary Academy appearing on screen alongside local teacher Mandeep Singh.
Blending action, mythology and adventure, the production is believed to be the world’s first English-language Sikh superhero film, promoting values such as Chardi Kala (optimism) and Seva (selfless service).

Previous screenings have drawn praise from audiences across the community, with many describing the film as uplifting and inspiring.
Flex Singh said: “The response has exceeded all expectations. We’ve seen families and young people leave feeling inspired and uplifted.”
The screening is expected to attract families from across Slough and beyond, highlighting the borough’s growing role in supporting diverse creative talent.
