People are being invited to take on a 100-metre abseil challenge for charity.
The event, set to take place on Saturday, September 12, offers the opportunity to abseil down Portsmouth’s iconic Spinnaker Tower while raising money for the South Central Ambulance Charity.
Open to individuals, families, groups and businesses, the fundraiser will support South Central Ambulance Service staff, volunteers, and communities.
Vanessa Casey, Chief Executive at the South Central Ambulance Charity, said: "We’re delighted to be bringing our Spinnaker Tower Abseil back in 2026.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals, groups, families and businesses to take on an exciting challenge while supporting their local ambulance charity.
"Every pound raised helps us provide additional support, equipment and wellbeing initiatives that benefit our staff, volunteers, patients and communities across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire."
Funds raised will help enhance patient care, improve community resilience and fund projects that go beyond NHS provision.
No prior abseiling experience is needed, as all participants will receive training and safety equipment from qualified instructors.
The charity welcomes participants of all experience levels, whether taking part in memory of a loved one, celebrating a personal milestone or simply looking for a new challenge.
The fundraising target is £150.
Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
