A classic children’s story is coming to Slough this October half-term.

The Elves and The Shoemaker will be performed at the Curve Venue on Friday, October 30 at 11.30am.

The show, which is suitable for children aged three and above, is a Ladybird Classic.

It tells the tale of Elvis Schumacher, a cobbler who has fallen on hard times due to competition from the evil businessman Bunyan Sole-less.

With only one piece of leather left, Elvis's future looks grim as Bunyan's factory continues to grow.

This well-loved story has been reimagined by Theatre of Widdershins, known for their unique style.

The production will feature a beautifully crafted set, puppets, music, a variety of miniature shoes, and a comic mouse.

Tickets for the show are priced at £10 for adults and £8 for under-16s.

Also, there is a Family and Friends ticket for four people available at £32.

The event has been programmed by Norden Farm Centre for the Arts.

It is being held as part of a partnership between Norden Farm and Slough Borough Council.

The partnership aims to develop the Curve Venue as a key cultural community hub for Slough.

The production has been supported using public funding from Arts Council England.

Tickets can be purchased from the Box Office on 01753 303035 or online at curvevenue.uk/events/the-elves-and-the-shoemaker.
