Theatre Royal Windsor is set to entertain audiences with a series of October productions.

The theatre is offering a trio of shows, catering to various tastes, including a classic murder mystery, a ghostly tale, and a fairytale adventure.

Agatha Christie's renowned murder mystery, The Mousetrap, kicked off the season.

Marking its 75th anniversary, the play, which is the longest-running West End show, was part of a new UK tour.

It features Nicholas Bailey, known for his role in EastEnders, and Susan Penhaligon from A Fine Romance.

The Mousetrap ran at Theatre Royal Windsor from Monday, October 12, until Saturday, October 17.

Following The Mousetrap, the theatre will present Henry James’s ghost story, The Turn of the Screw from Tuesday, October 20, to Saturday, October 24.

It is about a young governess determined to protect two children from what she perceives as haunting spirits.

The suspenseful plot blurs the line between reality and the supernatural, promising a gripping experience for the audience.

For those seeking a magical experience, Ballet Theatre UK will perform a retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale, The Snow Queen - running from Tuesday, October 27 to Saturday, October 31.

Set to be staged during half-term, the show follows Gerda on her adventurous journey to the frozen north, in a quest to rescue her friend and break the Snow Queen’s spell.

The ballet combines storytelling with theatrical grace and spectacle, offering families a captivating experience in the lead-up to Halloween.

Theatre Royal Windsor's October line-up offers something for everyone, from classic crime lovers to families looking for a half-term outing.

The theatre, located in the centre of Windsor, is the only unsubsidised producing theatre in the country that operates year-round.

With a history spanning more than 200 years, the theatre has built a reputation for quality productions.

As part of Bill Kenwright Limited, it stands as one of Britain's leading regional theatres.

For further details about each production, including performance schedules and ticket information, the theatre has provided specific web pages.

Theatre Royal Windsor can be found at 32 Thames Street, Windsor, Berkshire SL4 1 PS.
