Windsor's Thames Hospice in Hatch Lane has been nominated for Charity of the Year at the Thames Valley Business and Community Awards, taking place on Thursday, January 31.
The sell-out gala event is at the Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa in Ascot and celebrates the best in local talent and achievement.
Thames Hospice has been nominated for the expert palliative and end-of-life care services it offers to people living in East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire at home and in the hospice. It will be up against five other nominees and excitement is building among staff and volunteers..
Thames Hospice chief executive Debbie Raven, said: “It is an honour to be nominated for this award. Last year we celebrated our 30th year caring for families in the Thames Valley, and we have ambitious plans to expand our services so we can continue supporting the growing numbers of people who so desperately need us. It would be amazing to be recognised for our achievements.”
