WINDSOR, Slough, Eton & Hounslow (WSEH) Athletics Club star Morgan Lake has continued to enhance her reputation at the Mueller International Games in Birmingham.

Lake took second place with 1.94 metres (m) on Sunday.

WSEH added to their tally of four national titles from the British Senior Indoor Championships last week with a further two crowns from the under-20/17/15 Championships in Sheffield last weekend.

Dominic McDougal scored an impressive victory in the U17 men’s 1,500m straight final on Saturday with a win in four minutes and 11.86 seconds (4.11.86).

Alex Haydock-Wilson’s path was more tortuous, having to negotiate heats and semi-finals before making his mark with a victory in the U20 400m in 47.99 seconds (secs) in the final on Sunday.

WSEH had three other medallists. Temi Ojora was the silver winner in the U17 women’s high jump with 1.79m, and Orla Brennan took a medal of the same hue in the U17 300m in 39.56secs.

There was also a bronze award for Teepee Princewell in the U20 men’s triple jump with 14.85m.

Abby Masquelier looked set to claim a medal after finishing second in the semi final of her U15 girls’ 60m hurdles race, but things went adrift in the final and she finished eighth in 9.47secs, well outside her earlier time of 9.35secs.
