ALL EIGHT participating teams took to the field in their coloured clothing in a highly-entertaining opening day of the new T10 cricket Slough Super League.

The matches were packed with entertainment as the bowlers were put to the sword as the ball flew over the boundary on a regular basis.

The Slough Super League aims to bring the community of Slough together as local businesses have sponsored the teams, with MYM Solicitors sponsoring the league itself.

Jameel Rahman organised the Slough Super League and said: “Slough needed a midweek league where games will be fun, entertaining and quick, so those with less time can also participate.

“We aim to grow this league with more teams in the coming years.

“For me, it was a fantastic achievement which saw four months of hard work going to plan as a carnival atmosphere was seen with all teams in their coloured clothing, music played and drummers making noise as boundaries were hit.

“We plan to have a similar league indoors in the winter, giving the community of Slough a short format of cricket all year round.”

Games take place every Tuesday evening at Slough Cricket Club in Upton Court Road and all eight teams play every week.
