SLOUGH Town made it back-to-back wins in National League South this season after a 2-1 victory against Weston-super-Mare on Tuesday.

The Rebels recorded their first win last weekend and backed that up with a come-from-behind victory at Arbour Park to move up to eighth position in the league table.

Slough were unfortunate not to take the lead when a Guy Hollis shot from close range was cleared by a recovering defender inside his own six-yard box.

Weston broke the deadlock as Jarrad Welch struck a right-foot shot from 25-yards that swerved before passing keeper Jack Turner in the 44th minute.

The Rebels could have equalised when a screaming 30-yard shot from James Dobson hit the inside of the far post before bouncing to safety.

The equalising goal eventually came as substitute Chris Flood threw himself at a cross from the left wing and the ball crept in at the far post on 78 minutes.

Slough completed their comeback when substitute Perry Coles made space for a shot on the edge of the box and fired low and hard into the far corner in the 83rd minute.

Slough Town joint-manager Jon Underwood told the Observer: "I'm delighted with the win but it was quite a stressful game if I'm honest. It's never dull here at Arbour Park.

"In the first half, it was probably as poor as we've played here in a long time, we just couldn't get going.

"We were going too long and didn't pass it well enough whereas Weston passed it very well, which we knew they would.

"They like to play it very short and pass through midfield, and they should a lot more composure and quality than we did in the first half.

"Having said that we had the best two chances and thought we would go into half-time at 0-0, but then there was a bolt out of the blue from Jarrad, who is a very good player, which obviously really shock us."

Slough welcome Torquay United to Arbour Park this Saturday (3pm).
