SLOUGH Town have returned to winning form in the National League South this season after a 1-0 victory against Concord Rangers on Saturday.

The Rebels had not won in three league matches but the victory at Arbour Park sees them move up two places to eighth position in the table.

The only goal in the game arrived inside four minutes when striker Matthew Stevens was upended inside the box and James Dobson fired the resulting spot-kick into the bottom left-hand corner.

Concord came close to equalising when hitting the post in the 14th minute, before Slough centre back Mark Nisbet saw a shot cleared off the line minutes before the break.

The Rebels had the best chance of the second-half as Stevens headed just over the crossbar.

Slough turn their attention to the FA Cup and a first round proper tie away at Sutton United from the National League this Saturday (3pm).

Virginia Water recovered from falling a goal behind late on to secure a 3-3 draw away at Bishops Cleeve in the Hellenic Premier Division.

Two goals from Adam McNamara gave The Waters a clear lead heading into the break at Kayte Lane.

Bishops Cleeve levelled the scores after half-time through Brad Martin and Ash Davies, then took the lead when Jordan Staten found the back of the net with eight minutes remaining.

However, Scott Jackson equalised for Virginia Water in the 84th minute for a share of the points, which leaves them in 15th position in the league table.

Virginia Water welcome eighth-placed Lydney Town to Stag Meadow this Saturday (3pm).

Burnham have moved to the top of the table in Division One East following their 3-0 win away at Chinnor.

A goal from Weller gave the Blues the lead heading into the break at the Chinnor Community Pavilion, before both Aiden Higgs and Dean Allen struck after half-time to secure all three points.

Burnham turn their attention to the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy and a third round tie against Wrightchoice & Unity CSA at The Gore this Saturday (3pm).

Holyport did not have a fixture to fulfill last weekend but welcome North Leigh United to Summerleaze in the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Chalvey Sports also did not have a fixture to fulfill last weekend but travel to Pewsey Vale from Division One West in the Floodlit Cup on Tuesday (7.45pm).
