PROLIFIC Tom King scored twice for South Berkshire, but they could only muster a point from their 5-5 MBBO Regional Two draw at home to Milton Keynes 2nds, writes Richard Ashton.

The division’s top scorer took his tally to 10 for the season, and with Sam Fox-Harvey, Harrison Scott and Andrew Smith also on target, seventh-placed South Berkshire were able to draw with a team three places above them in the league.

James Palmer bagged a brace of his own for the visitors, with the other goals coming from James Begg, David Breuilly and Grant Webster.

South Berkshire travel to table-topping Aylesbury this coming Saturday (1.30pm).

In Division Two, Mike Baylis and Mathias Temmink both hit the back of the net to earn South Berkshire 2nds a 2-1 success at Marlow 3rds, Ollie Cadinouche on target for the hosts.

Ashley Holden grabbed a double and Tom Scott was also on target for South Berkshire 3rds, but they were beaten 6-3 at Banbury 3rds in Division Three.

Stuart Armstrong scored a brilliant hat-trick for the Oxfordshire side, with Phil Beesley adding two more and Mark Crowley completing the rout.

Third-placed South Berkshire 4ths sealed a fine 5-2 win at home to Witney 3rds in Division Eight West, while South Berkshire Terriers were held to a 1-1 draw by basement boys Newbury & Thatcham 6ths.

South Berkshire ladies stayed sixth in the Premier Division of the Trysports Three Counties League after they drew 1-1 at Wallingford. Suzi Pegg got the goal for the home team.

South Berkshire are home to Oxford 3rds on Saturday.

In Division One, South Berkshire 2nds were knocked off top spot after they were held to a 3-3 draw by Newbury & Thatcham 2nds.

South Berkshire 3rds eased past Thame 2nds 5-0 in Division Three, but in Division Four, cellar dwellers South Berkshire 4ths were comfortably beaten 5-0 at Witney 3rds.

Jane Jordan-Goodman, Abbie Eeles, Julie Peachey, Ellen Tempest and Abbie Carpenter were all on the scoresheet for Witney.
