KAREEN Bhali has become the new Cadet National Champion after winning gold at the British Taekwondo Championships in Sheffield.
Bhali, 13, from Slough trained hard up to three times a week to get prepared for the fight.
He had a few tough battles before claiming the gold medal in a sudden death win after drawing with a strong opponent in the final.
Bhali will now be keenly watched and could be invited to train with the national team if she continues to be successful.
Future Taekwondo is ran by Master, Stewart Armotrading, who has received awards in the House of Commons and from the Mayor of Slough.
The club holds classes in Slough and Langley and offer a free trail for all interested parties aged 5-60.
