SLOUGH Town are out of the FA Trophy this season after a 3-2 defeat against Weston-super-Mare in the third qualifying round at Arbour Park on Saturday.

Weston took the lead inside 14 minutes when a bad backpass was latched onto by Marlon Jackson and he found the back of the net.

The Rebels equalised in the 31st minute as James Dobson delivered an inviting cross into the box and Ben Harris was on the end of it to smash home.

The home side were not level for long however as their National League South rivals restored the advantage just three minutes later.

A tremendous goal from a short corner saw George Nurse finish into the top corner.

Slough were quick to respond as striker Harris got his second goal in the tie sixth of the season on 39 minutes.

The Rebels moved the ball quickly through midfield to find Dobson down the right hand side and his cross was inch perfect for Harris to head home.

Weston scored the winning goal in the 68th minute as Gethyn Hill avoided the offside trap and was on his own inside the six-yard box to tap home a cross.

The home side were reduced to 10 men on 71 minutes when centre back Guy Hollis was shown a second yellow card for pushing a Weston player into the advertising boards.

The visitors had the ball in the net for a fourth time five minutes from the final whistle but the effort was ruled out for offside.

Slough now turn their attention to the FA Cup and a second round tie at home to Gillingham from League One this Sunday (2pm).
