MAIDENHEAD Under 11 girls swept the board to take the gold medal at the Sportshall County Team Championship.

Maddie Sturt led the way with individual wins in the one-lap obstacle, speed bounce and a second place in the standing triple jump.

She was joined by teammate Sophie McLachlan to win the 1+1 lap relay; then joined by Ruby Foyle and Megan King to win the 4x1 lap hurdle relay and to take second in the 4x1 lap relay.

Foyle and Aimee Gbaja-Biamila came joint first in the 2+2 lap relay and third in the 6-Lap Parlauf.

Gbaja-Biamila was joined by Ruby Dale, Summer Clarke and Georgia Clarke to round the day out with third in the Grand Prix relay.

Darcey Veazey and Vak Nayak from the Development Team came first and second respectively in the hi-stepper, while Maddie Lawrence and Summer Clarke were joint third in the chest push and Sophie McLachlan matched that in the foam javelin.

Ruth Blackwell, Ella Siddons, Gargi Nayak and Charlotte Lewis also represented the club.

In the boys event, the Blue team were runners'-up and the red team came seventh with three athletes making their debut in Michael Brown, Harry Brown and Ted Fogg.

Callum Presnail won the one-lap obstacle, tied in the standing long jump, came third in speed bounce and second in vertical jump.

Aden Haywood was joint third in the one-lap obstacle, and Bailey Haywood triumphed in the chest push.

Robert Oliver finished second in the foam javelin, while Jan Czarnomski was joint second in the target throw, along with Harry Brown.

Presnail and Bailey Haywood were first in the 1+1 lap; Ben Cook took third in the hi-stepper, Fogg was joint third in the foam javelin, and Harry Wood and Thomas Scargill also took part.
