CHALVEY Sports twice fought back from falling behind to draw 3-3 with rivals Burnham in Hellenic Division One East on Boxing Day (Wednesday).

Burnham are the runaway leaders in the division and two goals from Dean Allen gave them a clear lead midway through the first-half at Arbour Park.

Chalvey pulled a goal back through Richard Jeffrey before the break and equalised when Bryan Taylor found the back of the net on the hour.

The Blues restored their advantage through Aiden Higgs soon after, but the home side secured a share of the spoils thanks to a goal from Liam Hulait inside the last 10 minutes.

The draw means Burnham remain at the top of the table and now 12 points clear of the chasing pack as the season reaches its halfway point.

The Blues return to The Gore for the visit of Abingdon Town this Saturday (3pm).

Chalvey are now in seventh position in the league table and welcome Wokingham & Emmbrook to Arbour Park this Saturday (3pm).
