STOKE Park Country Club is delighted to announce the addition of two padel courts to their award-winning sports facilities which are due to open this April.

In doing so, Stoke Park will become the first five-star hotel to have padel courts in the United Kingdom (UK), plus it is the only club in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire to have this facility.

Tennis members at the club with have access to the padel courts, as will guests staying in the hotel.

Although first introduced to the UK in 1992, Padel has been played for over 100 years and has become a sporting phenomenon throughout many Hispanic nations including Spain, Mexico and Argentina.

Tom Murray is the Marketing Director at British Padel. He said: “We’re delighted that Stoke Park has become a member of British Padel and are installing courts to their wonderful facilities.

“To have suck a prestigious venue joining the association gives a huge boost to our key objectives this year, which is for padel to achieve official sporting classification in the UK.

“We currently have 55 padel courts in the UK and, now with these two additional courts at Stoke Park, it really is helping the popularity of the sport.”
