FC FERNHILL moved another step closer to retaining their Premier Division title with a 6-1 demolition of bottom side Golden Farmer Reserves.
Farmer gave a good account of themselves initially, but were undone with Ben Knight’s excellent volleyed finish on the stretch giving Fernhill the lead on 30 minutes before Elliott Rushforth’s exquisite top-corner finish doubled their lead.
Fernhill went in 3-0 up at the break before Stu Kent pulled one back for Farmer just after the restart, and for a while the hosts pressed to further reduce the deficit. Class told in the end, though, as a couple of Charlie Evanson specials and a further Knight goal sealed the victory.
Fernhill now need just three wins from their remaining seven games to seal the championship.
Crowthorne Inn stay second after their 5-0 win over Panthers, where a Carl Barrie brace and goals from Ryan Cooper, Taylor Elliott-Money and Marcus Simonds did the damage.
Finchampstead Athletic are up to third with a 3-0 home win against FC Meta, and WAB picked up all three points as two Tom Smith goals helped them to a 2-1 win at Morale Madrid.
Athletico Forest also collected maximum points beating Raglan 2-1 at home, Rhys Sherry and Abderrazzak Touni with Forest's goals, Matt Davis replying.
Finchampstead Athletic Reserves head Division One after their 3-1 win at home to Athletico Ascot, but AFC Crowthorne Stiffs are hot on their heels winning 3-0 at Panthers Reserves where Mitch Wheaton, John Mulholland and Jason Ellary all found the target.
Finch are three points clear, but Crows have a great opportunity to overhaul them with four games in hand.
Elsewhere, Berks County beat Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW 7-0 with a stunning Tom Peterson hat-trick and goals from Dan Best, Tom Fraser, Ben Hitchins and William Thomas.
Bracknell Athletic won 3-1 at Woodley United.
Sandhurst FFC have been crowned champions of Division Two already after beating Winnersh Rangers 3-1 to maintain their unbeaten campaign, having dropped just four points across 16 games.
Codi Taylor grabbed Winnersh’s consolation goal.
Moore Close Manor in second spot were held 1-1 at Woodley Saints, while Bracknell Corinthians could not field a side and gifted the three points to Silver Birch Dynamos.
Bracknell Cavaliers stay top of Division Three after a Billy Penton brace and strikes from Jack Hanley and Sam Cooper helped them to a 4-0 win at home to Hope & Anchor, but Bearwood Wanderers are only three points behind with a game in hand after they won 4-2 at Silver Birch A, Alex Dinnage and Steve Farrant scoring for Birch.
Bracknell Royals and Bracknell Saint Germain shared the spoils in an eight-goal thriller, drawing 4-4.
In Division Four, Crownwood Dukes have all but sealed the title after their 11-0 rout of Bracknell Titans, Jonathan Beecham grabbing an impressive five goals for Dukes, plus a brace each from Aaron Burch, Luke Newstead and Alex Cookson.
FC Harmanswater still have one game to play and could catch them on points, but they will need a massive swing in goal difference to do so, and for Dukes to lose their last three games.
Harmanswater goalscorers were Jack Buckland-Roll with two, Simon Miles, Oliver Birch, Matt Rimmer, Sean Randall and Justin Horton as they won 7-0 at AFC Crowthorne Old Boys.
Bracknell Athletic Reserves won 3-2 at Silver Birch and had Jack Cozzi, Tony Gilbert and Ollie Lane to thank for the win, while Jake Keohane and Matt Scrace replied for Birch.
In the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup semi-final, Loveman United put in a terrific performance away at AFC Liberal in High Wycombe to win 6-2.
They will meet Three Horseshoes from Hazlemere in the final, with full details on venue, date and timings to follow once announced by Berks & Bucks.
