SLOUGH Town extended their unbeaten run in the National League South to four matches after a 1-0 win at Woking on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

A goal in the first half from Francis Amartey was enough for the Rebels to secure a first victory at the Kingfield Stadium since 1993, defeating the table toppers in front of a crowd of over 2,500.

Woking dominated the match early on but the visitors would scored the only goal after 20 minutes with a move that started from a Guy Hollis throw-in.

Woking struggled to clear the ball and a cushioned header from man-of-the-match Sam Togwell fell into the path of Amartey who poked home a shot via the post.

Slough managed to keep their hosts at arms length in the second half for a third win in four league matches which sees them move up one place to 11th position in the table.

The Rebels turn their attention to the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup with a semi-final tie at Marlow from the Isthmian League South Central Division on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Slough return to action in the league when St Albans City are the visitors to Arbour Park this Saturday (3pm).

Burnham maintained their 10-point lead at the top of Hellenic Division One East following their 3-0 win at Wallingford Town.

A brace from Oliver Harris plus a Dean Allen goal in the first half was enough for the Blues to secure all three points at Hithercroft.

Burnham are now unbeaten in their last four league matches and next head to Didcot Town Development on Saturday 6th April (3pm).

Chalvey Sports suffered a second consecutive defeat in the league when losing 3-1 to Milton United at Arbour Park on Saturday.

Adam Bruce was the star on show for Milton, scoring once in the first half and two in the second, while Bryan Taylor registered a late consolation goal for the Stabmonks.

The defeat leaves Chalvey in eighth position in the league table ahead of a visit to Arbour Park from AFC Aldermaston on Tuesday 2nd April (7.45pm).

Langley did not have a fixture to fulfill in Division Two East last weekend but welcome Stokenchurch to Summerleaze on Tuesday (7.45pm) and then rivals Taplow United this Saturday (3pm).
