BURNHAM were crowned champions in Hellenic Division One East after a 4-0 win against Chinnor on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.
The Blues needed to secure a single point in the last game of the season to ensure the title and promotion into the Premier Division.
The club offered free entry into The Gore and, in front of a crowd of 155, they brought the curtain down on their league campaign in style.
A goal from Lucas Sinclair gave Burnham a lead heading into the break, before Ryan Tackley, Aiden Higgs and Sinclair - his 30th strike of the season - were on target to secure the victory in the second half.
The Blues won 17 of their 24 league matches, losing just four times, with an impressive 85 goals scored and 29 conceded.
Burnham will now look to complete a league and cup double when taking on Malmesbury Victoria from Division One West in the Hellenic Subsidiary Cup final at Newent Town on Monday 6th May (3pm).
