SLOUGH-based South Bucks Archers is opening to the public to invite budding bowmen and aspiring archers to give the sport a try with a series of 30-minute taster sessions on Sunday 19th May.

All equipment will be provided however places must be booked in advance of the day. The taster sessions will last for approximately 30 minutes each and cost £5 per person.

This will give people the opportunity to shoot a number of arrows under the guidance of an experienced archer.

There will be an option on the day to partake in additional shooting and small tuck shop.

All participants will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win an archery beginners course worth £50.

If you have been interested in archery then this is a fantastic opportunity to have a go, meet the club members, and generally see what the sport is all about.

To book a 30-minute slot contact Mary Blumbergs on 07772 353820 or email secretary@southbucks-archers.com.

Shots are available between 10am and 2pm. Children under 16 years-old must be accompanied by an adult and the minimum age is 10.

The archery big weekend is a nationwide initiative by Archery Great Britain that encourages archery clubs to open their doors to the public to raise awareness of the sport.
