SLOUGH Town have confirmed both Louie Soares and Nathan Smart will depart the Rebels as attentions turn to next season.

Midfielder

Soares

joined Slough from National League South rivals Hungerford Town and made 34 appearances, scoring three goals, including one en route to helping the club

win the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup

.

Defender

Smart

joined the Rebels early in the 2016/17 season and made 74 appearances, scoring two goals, including one in the incredible 5-4 win at Merthyr Town back in October 2017.

A statement on the official club website read: "Soares' opportunities were hampered by the excellent form of Warren Harris and James Dobson in the first half of the season, and in recent months by us playing a more narrow shape in which we found it hard to accommodate him.

"Throughout the season his attitude has been first class, never missing a training session, doing extra fitness work on his own, and he always had a smile on his face.

"He leaves with our very best wishes and we thank him for his efforts this season.

"Smart has spent the season on a dual registration basis with Hartley Wintney, where his excellent performances there led to him being made captain.

"He didn't feature in our league campaign this time but trained with us on numerous occasions and was involved in some cup games including an assured performance in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup final.

"Last season he was a key player for us with highlights being excellent performances against Gainsborough and Rochdale in the FA Cup.

"He's another one with an impeccable attitude and he leaves us on very good terms."
