GORDON Morgan struck a magnificent century as Berkshire Over 60s eased past Oxfordshire by 94 runs.

The Wraysbury star shared an opening stand of 124 with skipper Dave Tooze (38), and Morgan went on to make a sparkling 128 from just 110 balls as his side totalled an impressive 260-9 in their 45 overs.

Oxfordshire began their reply reasonably as Peter Burrows and captain Derek Watts (36) put on 53, but the slower bowling of Phil Ridgeway (4-33) and Errol Masters (3-29) halted their progress before Chad Cudjoe (2-19) further turned the screw to leave Oxon 166 all out.

Berkshire Over 60s 2nds beat Bedfordshire by five wickets via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method.

The visitors' innings was curtailed after 34 overs with the score on 135-5, and fine knocks from Chris England (50 retired) and Greg Griffith ensured the hosts reached their target in 32.1 overs.

Berkshire Over 50s 2nds enjoyed a comfortable 51-run victory at Sussex.

Graham Beal blasted 127 from just 99 balls, and with Steve Curlewis adding an unbeaten 90, Berkshire posted 277-3 in their 45 overs.

Stephen Harris (82 from 45 balls) led the Sussex charge, but a fine spell from Upendra Deshpande (5-38), allied to Jason Carr's 2-57, ensured the home side were bowled out for 226.

Wicket-keeper Gerry Bacon aided Deshpande by taking two stumpings for the final two wickets.

Berks & Bucks Over 70s went down by 35 runs in their home game with Norfolk.

Opener Martin Pearse (118no) received useful support from Ritchie Davies (56no from 54 balls) and Richard Taylor (52) as the visitors amassed 264-3, and despite useful knocks from George Nelson (83) and Joe Richardson (40), Berks & Bucks could only reach 229-8 in reply.
