SLOUGH made it back-to-back home wins in Division One of the Home Counties Premier Cricket League after a 27-run victory over Aston Rowant on Saturday.

won the coin toss and elected to bat first at Upton Court Road, reaching 271-8 from their allotted 50 overs.

Number three Saif Zaib top-scored with 103 runs from 105 balls, with six boundaries and four maximum hits. It is his first century of the season and takes his average to 54.00.

Girinath Reddy Poreddy, batting at number four, made 78 from 107 balls, and he and Zaib put on 197 runs for the third wicket.

Alexander Barras was the pick of the Aston Rowant bowlers with his figures of 4-57 from 10 overs, which includes the wicket of captain Goutham Shrikrishna for a seven-ball duck.

Dominic Whatman took the wickets of both opening batsman, Mohammed Avas Anwar (2) and Daniyal Akhtar (5) in his 2-32 from 10 overs.

The visitors reached 244 runs all out from 49.3 overs in response to suffer a fourth defeat in five matches this season.

Number three Hayden Rossouw top-scored with 113 runs from 129 balls, with nine boundaries and one maximum hit.

Rossouw and James Coles (23) put on 60 runs for the fourth wicket, before a 62-run sixth-wicket partnership with Wesley Morrick (17).

Poreddy was the best of the Slough bowlers with his figures of 4-43 from 10 overs, which includes the wickets of Rossouw and Coles.

Rishi Sharath claimed Morrick and Elliot Matthews (23) in his 2-37 from 7.3 overs, while Zaib took 2-66 in 10 overs.

The win means Slough have moved up to sixth position in the league table ahead of a trip to bottom side Tring Park this Saturday (11am start).

Slough 2s made it consecutive away wins in Division One of the Thames Valley League following their seven-wicket victory at Hayes last weekend.

Hayes were put into bat and reached 284-9 from their allotted 50 overs. Prabhjot Singh made 75 runs from 77 balls, while Nadeem Syed took 2-33 from seven overs.

Slough managed 285-3 from 45.2 overs in response thanks to an unbeaten 132 runs off 127 balls from opening batsman Rahim Akhtar. Harman Momi took 2-36 from 10 overs.
