SLOUGH ended a run of three straight defeats in Division One of the Home Counties Premier League with a draw at Finchampstead on Saturday.

The Upton Court Park-based side have now not won in four weeks and remain in the relegation spots in the league table.

won the coin toss and elected to bat first, the visitors making 335 runs all out from 57.1 overs.

Saif Zaib

was the leading runs scorer with 181 from 146 balls, including 19 boundaries and seven maximum hits. It is his highest ever individual score, the 10th century of his career and second of the summer.

The Bucks star put on 63 runs for the second wicket with opener Daniyal Akhtar (30), before a third-wicket stand of 131 with Harish Kakani (48).

Connor Corlet led the Finch bowling attack with his figures of 4-69 from 15 overs, including the wicket of Slough captain Goutham Shrikrishna for a golden duck.

The home team managed 230-9 from 62 overs in response for a share of the points, which leaves them standing in sixth position in the league table.

Opening batsman Gregory Smith top-scored with 104 runs from 140 balls, including 13 boundaries. It is his first career ton and takes his average to 51.75.

Zachary Jones, batting at number eight, made 29 from 50 balls and the pair put on 71 runs for the seventh wicket.

The best of the Slough bowlers was Rishi Sharath with his figures of 3-58 from 17 overs whilst Zaib took 3-82 from 23 overs.

Slough travel to fifth-in-the-table Buckingham Town this Saturday (11am start).

Slough 2s are now four matches without a win in Division One of the Thames Valley League following a 43-run home defeat to North Maidenhead. They host Gerrards Cross this Saturday (1pm).
