WINDSOR, Slough, Eton & Hounslow (WSEH) Athletics Club star Taylor Campbell broke his own Club Record at an international throws competition in Leira.

Campbell set a record of 73.82m a couple of weeks ago but won the hammer event in Portugal with a throw of 74.26m.

  • THE WSEH ladies team finished their 2019 season in the UK Women’s National League as jubilant runners-up to trophy winners, Thames Valley Harriers.

In what was a close-run final Premier Division match, WSEH did enough to consolidate on their previous performances during the season to take second place in the prestigious national league.

The achievement is an immense one as the team competes against several big city clubs such as Edinburgh, Birchfield (Birmingham) and Cardiff that have huge catchment areas and equally impressive council funding.

The close-nit team was by two of its international throwers. Top flight hammer athlete Amy Herrington added the discus and shot to her repertoire, before shortly heading back to university in the USA.

Amy Holder is the top discus thrower in the club and she came back early from a representative match abroad in order to compete. Holder then headed back home shortly after the event to join her own birthday celebrations.

The commitment shown by these two athletes abounds throughout the team brings its just rewards. Everyone at WSEH is proud of the status of the team as the second strongest in the UK.
