BURNHAM have reached the first qualifying round of the FA Cup this season after a 5-4 win on penalties against Shrivenham on Tuesday, writes Rob Stevens.

The preliminary round tie at The Gore finished goalless in normal time before Hellenic League rivals Shrivenham took the lead with a goal from Taras Petranyuk 13 minutes into the additional period.

The Blues equalised through Sam Coles three minutes later to take the tie into a tense penalty kick shoot-out where the home side held their nerve with Tom Kemp scoring the winner.

Burnham included six players under the age of 19 including goal scorer Coles (18) and debutant Jimmy Barnett (17), who became one of their youngest ever keepers to feature in the FA Cup.

The Blues can now look forward to a first qualifying round tie at home to Tiverton Town from the Southern League Premier Division South this Saturday (3pm).

The club has now won £5,140 in prize money from the FA Cup this season with the tie on Saturday worth £4,500 to the winners.

Windsor saw their three-match unbeaten run in all competitions come to an end after a 3-2 defeat against Ardley United in the Hellenic Premier Division.

Windsor took the lead at Stag Meadow with a goal from Jay O'Connell but Billy Gillett equalised for the visitors. The pattern repeated itself before the break with O'Connell restoring the advantage but Gillett again equalised.

Ardley ensured all three points would head back to Oxfordshire when Ryan Barney scored the winner with six minutes remaining.

The defeat leaves Windsor in 15th position in the league table ahead of a trip to Tuffley Rovers this Saturday (3pm).

Chalvey Sports did not have a fixture to fulfil but return to action in Division One East with a trip to AFC Aldermaston this Saturday (3pm).

Holyport recovered from falling two goals behind to win 4-2 at Milton United to maintain their unbeaten start to the new league season and move up to fifth position.

Port travel to Kidlington Town Development this Saturday (3pm).

Langley did not have a fixture to fulfil in midweek but make the trip to Wallingford Town this Saturday (3pm).
