WINDSOR made progress in the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup thanks to the heroics of teenage goalkeeper Nojus Trinovas on Tuesday, writes Rob Stevens.

Trinovas, 16, is on loan from Slough Town but has made an immediate impact at Stag Meadow after saving two penalties in the 4-1 shoot-out win against Virginia Water.

A goal from Luke Brooks-Smith gave Windsor a narrow lead heading into the break but Martin Peters equalised for their Stag Meadow tenants in the second half to take the cup tie to penalties.

Trinovas saved two of the three spot-kicks from The Waters while Windsor were successful with all four attempts, captain Luke Appleton with the final touch to send them into the next round of the competition.

Windsor turn their attention back to the Hellenic League Premier Division and a trip to 11th placed Brackley Town Saints this Saturday (3pm).

Burnham also made progress in the Floodlit Cup following their 4-0 win against Division One East side Penn & Tylers Green.

An Ollie Harris brace plus goals from Gavin James and Firas Chniba ensured victory for The Blues at The Gore.

Burnham are in Hellenic League Challenge Cup action with a short trip to Binfield on Friday night (7.45pm).

Chalvey Sports are also through in the Floodlit Cup after a 3-0 victory against Berkshire rivals Woodley United at Arbour Park.

A goal from Matthew Edwards gave The Stabmonks are narrow lead heading into the break, before strikes from Ryan Hazell and Mike Gaut in the second half made sure of their progress.

Chalvey Sports return to action in Division One East when Kidlington Development are the visitors to Arbour Park on Saturday 26th October.

Holyport suffered their first defeat in the league this season after a 4-1 loss at Marlow United on Tuesday.

A goal from Ramel Sutherland gave Marlow the lead inside 15 minutes at the Alfred Davis Memorial Ground but Fabian Driffill equalised for Port, who were unbeaten in their first five league matches, before the break.

Goals in the second half from Qwam Thomas and Felix Prudden ensured all three points for the home side.

The defeat leaves Holyport in 10th position in the table ahead of a visit to Summerleaze from Didcot Town Development on Saturday 26th October.

Langley return to action with a league fixture at Abingdon Town on Saturday 26th October.
