THE Slough Town Supporters Trust was delighted to present a cheque for £1,310 to Pit Stop Project Slough, part of the Haybrook College group, following the 2019 Sponsored Walk.

The cheque was presented to staff members Andrew Brench and Darren Carroll prior to the home match against Billericay on Non-League Day.

The walk took place in March as a group of more than 20 walkers, including Slough Town fans and Pit Stop staff, walked 18 miles from Arbour Park, Stoke Road, to the home of Woking FC.

The £2,620 raised has been split between the work of the Trust, which goes towards working with Slough Town FC and the community, and Pit Stop, who work with some of the most vulnerable young people in the area by offering practical courses including catering, construction and car mechanics.

Pit Stop plan to use the money to purchase new equipment for their practical areas.

The Trust would like to extend its thanks to all of the walkers and all of the sponsors who made this yet another successful walk. We are on the lookout for another local charity to raise money for next at year’s walk.
