LES Kiss believes All Black World Cup-winner Waisake Naholo is the perfect signing to help the club's crop of talented young backs to thrive.

The 28-year-old made a try-scoring debut for Exiles when he collected a brilliant Nick Phipps cross-field kick before showing his pace and power to touch down in the right-hand corner during the 36-11 win against Leicester Tigers on Sunday.

And while that was a demonstration of the quality the speedster has, head coach Kiss said his impact around the training ground will only help top youngsters such as Ben Loader, Tom Parton, Matt Williams and Ollie Hassell-Collins.

He commented: "The first couple of sessions he got here, Waisake was just off the flight but he was going round, carrying the water bottles, talking to Ollie Hassell-Collins, to others – he seems to have a way of appropriately putting himself in a conversation. You can see the way the ears prick up (from the youngsters).

"He's got a keen interest in helping them – he's already been generous in how he's contributed so far.

"At training he's great with the young guys, but on the other hand, we're telling them 'don't wait to see what he can do, show him what you can do'."
