BURNHAM failed in their bid to complete a hat-trick of home wins in the Hellenic League Premier Division after a 2-0 defeat to Shrivenham on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

The Blues won their previous matches at The Gore against Holmer Green and Brackley Town Saints but could not find a way past Shrivenham – who leapfrog them in the league table.

Goals in the second half from Ryan Stanners and Ollie Rezek secured all three points for the visitors.

The defeat means Burnham have dropped to sixth position in the table ahead of a visit to The Gore from third-bottom Ardley United on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Windsor did not have a fixture to fulfil last weekend but return to action when high-flying Brackley make the trip to Stag Meadow this Saturday (3pm).

Chalvey Sports increased their unbeaten run in all competitions to six matches after a 1-1 draw at Abingdon United in Division One East.

A goal from Conor Sanderson gave The Stabmonks a lead inside the final 10 minutes at Northcourt but Kyle Moss equalised for Abingdon in the third minute of time added on.

Chalvey remain in fourth position in the table ahead of a visit to Arbour Park from Berkshire rivals AFC Aldermaston this Saturday (3pm).

Langley are now on an eight-match losing streak in the league following their 4-2 loss at Thame Rangers.

A goal from Lewis Thorne gave Thame the lead at The ASM Stadium but Joe Payne equalised for Langley before the half-time whistle.

A Tom Wilson brace plus a goal from Joe Walls secured the points for the home side in the second half before Payne bagged a consolation effort in the final minute of normal time.

The defeat means Langley remain second from bottom in the table ahead of a trip to Penn & Tylers Green on Tuesday 28th January (7.45pm).

Holyport saw their league match against Milton United postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Summerleaze Village.

Port are due to host Kidlington Development this Saturday (3pm).
