WINDSOR regained the winning thread in the Hellenic League Premier Division after a 3-1 victory over Royal Wootton Bassett Town on Tuesday, writes Rob Stevens.

Wootton Bassett took the lead with a goal from Bradley Pagliaroli inside 11 minutes at Stag Meadow, but the contest would take a twist on the half-hour mark.

Bassett defender Michael Miller was adjudged to have used an arm to deliberately block a shot on the goal line and shown a straight red card by referee Jack Hobbs.

Windsor were awarded a penalty kick and Luke Brooks-Smith fired into the roof of the net in the 31st minute.

The hosts won a second spot-kick when Jon Beeden fouled Tomas Kalinauskas inside the box three minutes later. The Wootton Bassett defender was sent to the sinbin and Brooks-Smith again beat keeper Eddie Cavanagh from the spot.
