EVERSLEY & California moved off the foot of the Division One table by defeating fourth-bottom FC Deportivo Galicia 2-1 at Fox Lane on Saturday.
They go above Godalming Town and level on points (17) with Chessington & Hook United, who have two games in hand.
The Boars secured only their third victory in 24 games thanks to goals from Cameron Edwin in the 17th minute, and Paras Gill, whose 31st-minute free-kick took a big deflection on its way into the net.
Soon afterwards, the visitors were reduced to 10 men with a red card, but still managed to halve their deficit with a goal from Ismael Ricorico on 56 minutes.
This coming Saturday, they are home to Cove, who are 12th in the standings, and next Tuesday (7.45pm) they face British Airways at Bedfont.
Sandhurst Town remain fifth in the table following their goalless draw away to seventh-placed Fleet Spurs.
Scheduled to host Kensington & Ealing Borough in the Division One Cup last night, they are away to AFC Hayes next Tuesday (7.45pm).
Their eagerly-awaited re-arranged home fixture with runaway leaders Jersey Bulls – now 26 wins from 26 games – has been fixed for Friday, April 24.
