Reading FC fans have issued a damning verdict on the future of club captain Liam Moore.

The 27-year-old has been frozen out of the side in the last three games, with young centre back Tom Mcintyre forming an impenetrable partnership with Michael Morrison.

Liam Moore is likely to be one of the first team stars that manager Mark Bowen could be forced to sell in the summer as a result of the financial constraints currently on the club following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Reading FC fans were asked on Twitter whether they would cash in on the captain should an acceptable offer be put forward.

Of those who replied, all of the supporters unanimously supported selling Moore, who has been at the club since 2016 - but some expressed concern as to whether Reading would receive an acceptable fee.

The replies are listed below:

  • @IPA101 - "Sell!"
  • @mrblthomas - "Sell him. And then I’d contact the club to see if they’d like me to drive him to his new destination."
  • @Reading106: "Bite their hand off"
  • @RFCJonjo: "Accept"
  • @TQ_Royal: "I would sell BUT a buying club will question why the club captain was dropped and a quick scan of social media would show that maybe he’s worth less than whatever Reading's price tag is."
  • @JH7123: Sell. "Fresh start needed for both of us"
  • @FozzieBear17: "Sell and help us with FFP."
  • @MarkRobson15: "Sell him."
  • @LordCKS: "Drive him there."
  • @Luke1871_: "I’d sell, but the price will not be that good at all. We need to be clever in this transfer window or we are in serious trouble."
  • @ttmaynard: "Take it."
