The Women's British Clubs League season recently kicked off at Wolverhampton.

Cippenham's team, consisting of Rachael Iles, Mia Lakhani, and Anna Piercey, is competing in Division 1, just below the Premier Division.

The trio, who have played together for five seasons, began with a 6-0 victory over Brighton.

However, they suffered a 2-4 defeat to Draycott in their next match, with only Iles securing wins in her singles matches.

The day ended with a 3-3 draw against Ellenborough.

Sunday started on a tougher note as Cippenham endured a 0-6 defeat by table-toppers Flick TTC.

The day finished with another 3-3 draw, this time against Joola Plymouth, placing Cippenham fourth out of six in their division at the halfway stage.

All Cippenham players contributed to the score, with Iles beating Gemma Kerr and Lakhani and Anna Piercey both beating Yuki Gresswell, but none could overcome Marketa Myskova.

Lakhani also lost narrowly to Kerr in the deciding set.
