LUKE-LOM Hynes was the star performer for Maidenhead Athletic Club at the Chiltern Cross Country League event in Luton on Saturday.
He finished third in the Division Two Under 13 boys’ race, with clubmates Harry Shrimpton (17th), Anuchaa Hynes 19th) and Callum Nicoll (21st) also running well.
Maisy Thorn led the way in the U13 girls’ contest, taking 19th place ahead of Katie Crowhurst (22nd), Havana Sale (28th) and Ella Clarke (29th).
Abbie Jones produced a brilliant run to come fifth in the U15 girls’ race, with Jessica Dibley (12th) and Laura House (13th) also running well.
Kevin McCormack came 16th in the U15 boys’ race, while Julian McGowan (25th) led the way in the senior men’s contest.
Caroline Shrimpton came 33rd in the women’s equivalent, while Luke Thonrton and Daniel Haul competed in the U11 boys’ race.
Eleanor Dries (44th) and Megan Shrimpton (46th) ran well in the U11 girls’ contest.
Meanwhile, Laurence Miles (1:02:14) collected an impressive sixth place in the Thames Valley League Cross Country meeting at Mapledurham on Sunday.
Clubmates Gerald Killen (1:17:18) and Jeremy Lockett (1:24:30) also took part.
U15 Lucy Thornton competed in her first indoor pole vault competition on Saturday, clearing 2m 11.
Jake Lewington ran an impressive 7.74secs in the 60m sprint at the Indoor Open Meeting on Sunday.
Abbie Jones took second place out of 2,500 runners in the Marlow Santa Run.
