WINDSOR, Slough, Eton & Hounslow (WSEH) athletes made their presence felt at the UK Indoor Championships at Birmingham over the weekend and emerging with four National Champions.

The WSEH women were particularly dominant. Megan Marrs set the trend by winning the 60-metre (m) hurdles in 8.15 seconds (secs).

In the same event, Stephanie Clitheroe was third in her heat in 8.56secs, with Amber Leigh-Hall fourth in 8.83secs.

Shelayna Oskan-Clarke enhanced her growing reputation by taking the 800m title in 2:00.6. Leah Barrow also made the final but with fifth place in 2m05.65.

Morgan Lake confirmed her status as the top UK high jumper with a victory on 21.88m. Camellia Hayes was just out of the medals in fourth place with 1.76m.

Rachel Wallader was another to emphasise her number one status by winning the shot event with 17.45m.

The WSEH men could not quite match the form of the ladies. Deji Tobais looked set for a medal after winning his heat in the 60m but false-started in the final to be disqualified.

Euan Bryden produced another 5.00m clearance in the pole vault to take fifth place.

Competing for England in a Cross Country International in Belgium, WSEH’s Meg Ormond justified her selection with an 11th place finish, being the third England athlete home, thus playing her part in winning the team gold medals.
