BURNHAM have been unofficially relegated from the Hellenic Premier Division after a 2-1 defeat away at Lydney Town on Tuesday.

The Blues have just three league matches remaining this season and can now finish no higher than third from bottom in the table.

With the bottom four clubs believed to be relegated, Burnham will need a reprieve from The Football Association to remain in the Premier Division next season.

Two goals from Ross Gabriel gave Lydney a clear lead heading into the half-time interval at the Lydney Recreation Ground, before The Blues pulled one back after the break.

Burnham turn their attention to the Supplementary Cup and a quarter-finals tie against Oxford City Nomads at The Gore on Thursday (7.45pm), before the same side return for a league fixture this Saturday (3pm).

Chalvey Sports made it four wins on the spin in Division Two East after a 7-0 victory against London Rangers on Tuesday.

Goals from Jason Marney, Billy Bressington and Bryan Taylor gave The Stabmonks a clear lead heading into the half-time interval at Arbour Park.

A second-half hat-trick from Aydn Coomber plus a strike from Jamie Earis secured Chalvey all three points after the break.

The win means The Stabmonks remain top of the table ahead of a visit to Arbour Park from Long Crendon this Saturday (3pm), before Abingdon Town make the journey next Tuesday (7.45pm).

Slough Town extended their unbeaten run in the Southern Premier Division to seven matches after a 1-0 win at Hitchin Town on Monday.

A second-half goal from Matthew Lench, his 15th of the season and first in 17 matches, was the difference between the two sides at Top Field.

The win means The Rebels remain in fifth position in the league table ahead of a trip to Dorchester Town this Saturday (3pm).

Slough turn their attention to the Berks & Bucks Cup and a semi-finals tie against MK Dons at Arbour Park tonight (Wednesday, 7.45pm).
