Reading defender Tom McIntyre believes the Royals will be a force to be reckoned with once the squad clicks fully.
Jose Gomes' side showed glimpses of their undoubted quality in August when they beat Cardiff 3-0, drew 1-1 with West Brom and swept aside Huddersfield 2-0 in a three-game spell before the international break.
The Royals have lost two in a row since then but McIntyre believes that once the squad gels properly, they can be a match for anyone.
He said: "We can be a massive threat.
"With the players we have on the pitch, such as the strikers, and then you look at the bench, we have massive strength in depth.
"The strikers we have would be dangerous in any side so it is really good to be in a defence where you know you have those strikers that can take the pressure off you."
McIntyre has partnered Liam Moore and Michael Morrison as part of a back three in recent games and he explained he is learning so much from the experienced duo.
He added: "It is brilliant for me to play alongside them.
"It is hopefully my breakthrough season and to have people like that alongside me helps me massively.
"They are experienced players who have played a lot of games so as I say taking things from them is great.
"When I have done something wrong, they have let me know but when I have done something well, they have given me a pat on the back so that has been great for my development."
