POLICE are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Burnham during which a cyclist was seriously injured.
The collision occurred at the junction between Lent Rise Road and Hag Hill Lane at about 8.50pm on Thursday.
A red Honda Civic and a bicycle were involved in the collision and the cyclist, a 14-year-old boy, sustained serious head injuries. He is currently being treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Investigating officer, PC Phil Hanham of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw the collision itself, or the vehicles prior to the collision to please contact police immediately so we can establish what happened. The easiest way to get in touch with us is by visiting your nearest police station or by calling us via 101.
“I understand that some people do not want to speak directly to the police, so alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
