SLOUGH Borough Council has invested £2.5million in Heritable Bank which is a part of the troubled Icelandic bank Landsbanki.
The sum represents two percent of the council’s total investments which are spread across a number of banks.

Police admit loan to Icelandic bank
THAMES Valley Police have confirmed they deposited millions of pounds in the collapsed Icelandic bank, Landsbanki. The force is one of at least 15 police authorities and 80 councils - including Slough Borough Council and Bucks County Council - to have invested in the Icelandic banking system, which collapsed spectacularly this week.
New measures to tackle Wexham youths

Welsh Society enjoy Songs of Praise
THE SOUND of the valleys is coming to the town this weekend with the return of the Thames Valley Welsh Societies’ annual Songs of Praise. Slough Baptist Church in Windsor Road will host an evening of Welsh and English hymns from 7pm on Saturday, lead by conductor Eilir Owen Griffiths.
