CHILDREN can enjoy hours of fun after a property developer purchased Samsung tablets for an after school club.

Kebbel Homes handed over the tablets to The Pod after school club, based at The Evreham Centre in Swallow Street, Iver to increase the range of activities on offer.

Set up in 2009, The Pod provides care and specialist educational activities including sports, cooking classes and craft work for children aged four to 11.

As well as after school care, the team offers full nursery day care for children aged between six-weeks-old and five-years-old.

The Pod, as a not-for-profit organisation, relies on funding and donations from the community and parents to help purchase materials to keep the club running.

Out of school club manager, Cheryl Hinds, said: “We often have the children, parents and members of the local community get involved in the club’s fundraising efforts.

“The tablets teach the children about sharing and working together as a team, as well as making homework more fun. We can’t thank Kebbell enough for their generous donation.”

Andrea Fawell, sales and marketing manager at Kebbell Homes, said: “We were delighted to donate the tablets to such a great cause, particularly as the staff work so hard throughout the year providing dedicated childcare.

“We hope the children have many hours of fun and learning with them.”
