A RECENT graduate has already been launched into a promising film career after being selected as part of Creative England’s iShorts.
Myriam Raja, former Baylis Court School pupil and Manor Park resident, has been selected by Creative England to shoot her next film, Shamas, this summer and she has just two weeks to raise the remaining £3,000 needed to make the film.
The script was one of just 16 selected from 100s of applicants and has been awarded £5,000 towards the production.
Shamas is a short film set in England and taking place against the backdrop of a mass refugee crisis.
If you are able to support, please go to Visit www.crowdfunder.co.uk/shamas to help. You can support the project from as little as £15, or for £100 receive a premiere ticket to a screening at Pinewood Studios, in Iver Heath.
