TWO separate bookmakers were targeted by an armed robber in the same day.

Police are searching for a man they believe was behind armed robberies at Coral bookmakers, at about 8.30pm, and Ladbrokes bookmakers at around 8.40pm, both in Farnham Road, on Tuesday.

The man - described as white, aged in his late 30s, about 5ft 11ins, with a medium build and short dark hair - approached the counter in both bookmakers and handed over a note demanding cash.

He was seen carrying what appeared to be a small imitation handgun.

Officers believe that the same man was responsible for both incidents.

The suspect was wearing a grey tracksuit top and a grey baseball cap, dark rimmed glasses and had a black or grey scarf around the bottom half of his face.

Investigating officer Det Con Teranjeet Finn, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have any information which could help us in this investigation.

“If you were in the area at the time and saw anything that could be related to either of these incidents, please call police via the non emergency number 101.”
