Thames Valley Police is appealing for a key witness to come forward following a burglary in Slough.

At around 10.30pm on Wednesday, June 1, a burglary in progress was reported to police in Langley Road, Langley, in Slough. The house was unoccupied at the time.

A large quantity of Asian gold, together with a number of designer watches and a sum of cash was stolen.

The offenders were seen making off in a blue coloured Renault Clio which was subsequently stopped by police in Baylis Road, Slough, on June 9.

A man walking with a girl, who police believe may have been his daughter, stopped and spoke to an officer in nearby Talbot Avenue, Langley, at the time of the burglary. However, he left the scene before leaving his personal details.

Detectives are very keen to trace this man as he holds vital information which will assist the on-going investigation.

He is described as being in his 40s, with longish black/greying hair and olive coloured skin. He was wearing square shaped glasses. The girl is described as being aged between 5 and 7.

DC Sharon Lenihan said: “It is really important that we speak to this man again as he is a key witness.

“At the time of the burglary, which was reported by a nearby neighbour, the man spoke to an officer but left the scene after providing vital information."
