AN APPEAL is being made for a key witness following a burglary.

A man walking with a girl, who police believe may have been his daughter, stopped and spoke to an officer in nearby Talbort Avenue, Langley, at the time a burglary took place at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, June 1, and police are very keen to get in contact with him.

He is described as being in his 40s, with longish black or greying hair and olive coloured skin. He was wearing square shaped glasses. The girl is described as being aged between five and seven.

The burglary took place at a property in Langley Road, Langley, and was reported to police while the thieves were still in action as the occupants were not home.

The offenders were seen making off in a blue coloured Renault Clio which was stopped by police in Bayliss Road, Slough, on Thursday, June 9, and three people were arrested in connection with the burglary – two men and woman aged between 20 and 30. They have been released on bail until July 13 pending further inquiries.

DC Sharon Lenihan said: “It is really important that we speak to this man again as he is a key witness.

“At the time of the burglary, which was reported by a nearby neighbour, the man spoke to an officer but left the scene after providing vital information.

“It may be that this man lives locally or he could have been visiting family or friends at the time."

If you are the man who stopped to speak to a police officer in Talbort Avenue, Langley, about a burglary on June 1, or if you know someone who matches his description, please get in touch with DC Lenihan via calling 101.
